Criteria for Membership
Local Government Managers Australia Membership Criteria.
FELLOW To be a fellow member an applicant shall:
(a) have made a significant and active contribution to LGMA or the local
government sector; and
(b) have held the status of Member of LGMA for a period of not less than ten years
or such lesser period as may be approved by the Board.
MEMBER To become a Member an applicant shall:
(1) be employed in local government or relevant organisation (as determined by the Divisional Board);
(2) hold a managerial appointment; and
(3) hold a degree, diploma or relevant qualification, or to have demonstrated appropriate experience or prior learning that satisfies the Divisional Board.
AFFILIATE An employee in local government or a relevant organisation (as determined by the Divisional Board) who has an interest in local government management.
SUBSCRIBER A person not employed in local government who has an interest in local government management.
